Attention Grade 12 Graduates, grad photos are taking place today through January 23rd.  If you have paid for your grad photo sitting fee but have not yet received your photo appointment time in the mail, please contact Mrs. Spiers in Student Services.  The mail strike may have delayed delivery of your appointment time.

Attention Grade 12 students, there are many Western National Scholarships available.  Our staff has been asked to nominate up to four graduating students who are applying to attend Western University for the fall of 2019.  Applications to be nominated are due in Student Services by Monday, January 14th, 2019.  For more information on the Western National Scholarships, please come to Student Services.

Attention music students, a reminder that vocal ensemble and intermediate band will not rehears this month.  The rehearsals will resume in second semester.  However, concert band will continue to practice this month as usual, every Wednesday after school.  Everyone’s attendance is crucial for our success at musicfest in February.

Attention all students ordering an Italia Hoodie.  You must make your payment via School Cash On-line by this Thursday, January 10th and bring your receipt to Madame in Room 210 so that the order can be placed on Friday.

If you have not picked up your Academic Award from November, please pick it up today in the Principals Office.

Attention students, the Gay-Straight Alliance will be meeting on Monday, December 17th at 3 pm in Student Services.  We will be socializing and making plans for the new year.  New members are welcome, and we would love to have you there.

Are you still looking for the perfect Christmas card for a friend, family or neighbour?  We can help you make the perfect Christmas card.  For just $2.00/person you can have your photo taken and send it digitally.  The photo shot will take place in room 226 at both lunches this week.  Ugly Christmas sweaters and other props will be provided, unless you want to bring your own.  Bring your Christmas Spirit.

If you want to get in the Christmas spirit and listen to some great music, then come to the annual SJC Christmas Concert tonight at 7 in the cafeteria.   The concert is free, will run for about an hour, and will feature the school bands and choir.  We hope to see you there.  A reminder to all the students involved that help is needed after school to set up.  Also, students in the bands and choir must be in the music room at 6:15 to warm up and get ready.
