There are job opportunities posted on the large bulletin board across from Student Services for students interested in getting employment experience. Take a look.

The Boys and Girls Club of Brantford is running an employment program. Students can earn wages and bonuses while receiving employment support, training, and experience. The Skilled 4 Success 10-week program begins June 20th with part-time hours of 20 hours per week. Participants are paid $15.00 an hour and can earn a $100.00 bonus for completing training and $250.00 for completing the entire program. Attention students looking for community hours. Royal City Soccer Club is looking for volunteers and volunteer counsellors-in-training. Visit royalsoccer.com for details. Child Hunger Brantford is also looking for volunteers to assist at a golf tournament on June 25th, 2022, at Walter Gretzky Golf Course. Contact Dawn Hall at dawnhallchb@gmail.com. Attention concert band and music students: If you have any outstanding instruments, music or other materials, please return them or speak to Mrs. Marriott as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the SJC junior tennis team who competed in the AABHN Tournament on Monday. All players fought hard in an incredibly intense tournament. Shout out to Amelia, Kennedy and Ireland for placing 2nd in their division, and to Olivia and Ryan who placed 1st in mixed doubles.

Due to the possibility of rain today, the GSA and ACE chalk event has been rescheduled for tomorrow during Junior lunch.

Shoutout to our SJC Beach Volleyball Teams who played in their first tournament yesterday. After coming in second in pool play, both teams went on to the semi finals. Both teams fought hard through the heat and sand but ended up coming short. Great play by all players. Good work Eagles.

Ladies Varsity soccer team played an amazing 2022 season. It was wonderful to see our players back in action and taking home the trophy in the city Championships. We will be back for CWOSSA next year. We want to thank all our players for being dedicated team members both on and off the field and representing SJC with great pride. We would also like to congratulate and wish our seniors well in their future endeavors, Cynthia C, Erin H, Audra K, Emily M, Julia W and our captain Lauren O. Fly high Eagles. From coaches Rosati, Cassano and Miranda.

Are you disappointed that you missed the drama production of I, Chorus last week? Or did you love it so much that you would like to see it again? If either of these scenarios apply to you, you are in luck. On May 31st, during period 4, you will be able to participate in a “Buy-in” to come watch I, Chorus. Today is the last day to purchase tickets via School Cash Online for $4.00 each. Tickets will not be sold at the door. So, if you are interested in attending, you will need to purchase your ticket online today. Please remember to check with your period 4 teacher before buying your ticket. Names will also be cross referenced at the door. Hope to see you there.

Your very own SJC concert band will perform a variety of music to entertain you and the art department will be supplying a selection of student pieces for you to view and appreciate. The concert is free and will last about an hour. Once again, that is today at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there.

Attention all members of the SJC Track and Field team. If you have completed all of your events and no longer need your pinnie, please return them to the Phys-ed office as soon as possible. Good luck to all of our track athletes competing at OFSAA West on Friday.

After a busy first half, Ladies Varsity Soccer Team pulled in their strength, focus and teamwork with a

5-0 win in the semis. They are off to the finals today at 4 p.m. at the John Wright Field. Please come out to support our Eagles.

On Tuesday, the Senior Boys Rugby team defeated North Park 32-7 in the AABHN Semi-Final playoff games. The Eagles were led by outstanding performances by Fly Half Owen P, Harry P-D, Luca C, and John L. Try scorers for the Senior Boys were Evan K, Logan C, Jake W, Brady S, Carter C, and Sebastian D, who also kicked 1 convert.

The Senior Boys Rugby team play archrival BCI at the Brantford Harlequins Club today at 4:30 p.m. The team would appreciate as much fan support as possible. Entry is $3.00 for a student, $5.00 for an adult.
