Hey STEM Club, make sure to check your email and come pick up the Science Center trip forms from Mrs. Koolen or Mrs. Todd.  Forms and money must be paid using school cash online by Friday, April 20th. 

Attention all students interested in coming to a meeting of Le Club Francais.  Our next meeting will take place on Friday, April 20th during both lunches in room 210.  Please sign up on the door of room 210 so that arrangements can be made based on the number of people attending.  Venez et Parlez Francais.

Attention all Varsity boys soccer team members, there will be a very important meeting at the beginning of lunch today.  These meetings will be in the weight room at the beginning of lunch today for all varsity soccer players.

Are you seeking summer or part-time employment but don’t know where to look? We can help, St Leonard’s Community services Brant Employment Center is hosting a Youth Job Fair on Saturday April 7th from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the German hall, located at 194 Henry St. in Brantford. This job fair is free and open to job seekers ages 15-29. There will be lots of employers hiring for a variety of positions.   Bring copies of your resumes and be prepared for an on the spot interview!

St Leonard’s is offering a Job Fair prep session on Wednesday April 4th, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at 225 Fairview Drive.

Also a reminder to save the date for an Apprenticeship Information session coming up April 17th.

Book Club members will meet on Wednesday during lunch.

Reminder that there will be an OSSLT blitz in the library during April 5th and 6th. The library will be closed.

The Canadian Association of Retired Persons is looking for 6-8 volunteers for Wednesday, May 9th before and after school hours at the Civic Centre arena. Volunteers will be filling duties such as helping set up vendor’s displays, supervising reception services and maintaining supplies and services to exhibitors and attendees. If you are interested in signing up please contact student services.

If you are pursuing a career in medicine or health care and live in Brant County or Brantford ask your guidance counselor or Ms. Koolen about THE ENDOWMENT FUND OF THE KIWANIS CLUB OF GRAND RIVER. You may qualify for one of our bursaries. Deadline to apply is May 31.

Attention all students taking either French or Italian next year.  Are you inrested in traveling to France and Italy over the March break next year with The Modern Languages Department?  Please drop by room 210 today to speak to Madame and to receive more information.

Secondary school girls are invited to a free career event on Saturday, April 6th, 2019.  Don’t miss out on the Dream It, Be it Event from 9 to 3:30 on April 6th at 33 Diana Avenue, Brantford.  Lunch and transportation pick up is available from St. John’s College as well as other school locations.  There is a grand door prize of a refurbished IMAC desktop computer, swag bags, door prizes, speakers’ panel and keynote speaker, Alysha Brilla.  Seating is limited.  Pre-register at soroptimistgranderie.ca.  Be empowered to pursue your career goals and reach your full potential.

Grade 12 students interested in applying for a Stedman Foundation bursary please come to student services to obtain more information.  These bursaries are intended for students who might otherwise be unable to finance a post-secondary education, even with the help of OSAP.  Applications for the bursaries are due by April 30, 2019.

Grade 12 students interested in applying for a $1,000.00 Kiwanis Club of Grand River Endowment Fund bursary can obtain an application in Student Services.  Applications are invited from students who wish to continue their education at a post-secondary institution in Canada with a preference given to students who pursue studies in health education or in a related field.  Applications are due no later than May 21, 2019.

Grade 12 students interested in applying for the Ted Beare Memorial Bursary can obtain an application in Student Services.  Applications are invited from students who have graduated or will graduate in 2019 from a Brant County Secondary School and who will begin first-year students in September at a post-secondary institution is a sports related field such as, but not limited to, physical education, kinesiology, media studies leading to a career in sports journalism, or related programs.
