Are you planning to apply to college for next year?  Tomorrow-Wednesday, December 6th there will be a college application workshop during period 1.  Any grade 12 planning to apply to college for next year should attend.  Grade 12 students are to go to their homerooms for attendance and then they will be called down to the cafeteria for the presentation.

Hello sports fans, our senior girls’ volleyball team, hot off of  a big win last Thursday and our junior volleyball teams will be looking for fan support for their first home games of the season versus North Park tonight.  Junior team plays at 4 p.m. and the senior team at 5:30 p.m. in our gym.  Our junior and senior basketball teams travel to play at North Park.  The junior team tipoff is 5:30 with the senior team playing at 7 p.m.

Attention all SJC Swimmers, please make sure that you have paid your fees through cash-on-line.  Payments are past-due and are required to cover costs of tournaments and pool rentals.  No pay, no play.

The book club will meet during both lunches tomorrow-Wednesday.

Attention all students traveling to France and Italy with Madame D’Eramo during the March break, another deposit was due at the end of November.  If you have not yet made your November payment, please do so immediately.

All students attending the meeting of Le Club Francais are asked to come to room 210 with your lunch at the start of the lunch period today.  We will begin shortly after the lunch period begins.

Were you in Paris Saturday night at the semi-formal?  Everyone looked amazing.  The photos that were taken with the Eiffel Tower will be available for sale outside the caf on Junior and Senior lunches today.  Come on out and see the fun photos.

Attention if you are travelling to Greece and Italy on an art trip in March 2018, there will be a mandatory lunch meeting on Tuesday, December 5th.  You must see Ms. Davies if you have junior lunch.  You must see Mrs. DiStefano if you have senior lunch.  It is very important that you attend this meeting.

All students are invited to pray in the Chapel at the start of both lunches. This month, we will be praying for our deceased family and friends before we say The Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Please come and spend a few  minutes in the Chapel at the start of each lunch remembering your loved ones.

During the month of November, The City of Brantford will be hosting a contest for all ages throughout the Downtown Core.  Downtown Detours is the best way to kick start your holiday shopping.  The game works as follows; Pick up a passport from either Student Services, Lonnie’s or Tim Horton’s on Dalhousie.  Once you have your game passport, make your way through all of the local downtown businesses listed on your passport and have your passport stamped as you go in.  Also taking advantage of all the special promotions only offered to Downtown Detour participants such as ½ priced appetizers at Devlins and many more.  Once your passport is completed, drop it off at Parks and Recreation and you will be entered into a draw to win $2,000, $700 or $200 in gift cards.  Perfect to have right before Christmas.  Hurry though, contest ends December 1st at 4:00 p.m.  See you out there!

Attention all SIC Writers, submissions for the Laurier Stedman writing contest are due on Friday.  If you’re hesitating, don’t hesitate to much longer.  Create or fine-tune your original short story and submit it on Friday, November 24th.  On that day all story submitters will be asked to meet in the Library during both junior and senior lunches so that the stories can be collected and submitted on-line.  So be sure to have both a paper copy and a MS Word copy of your story ready to go for Friday.  If you have any questions be sure to speak with Mr. Heida, Mr. Agnolin, Mrs. Luciani or Mrs. O’Sullivan.
