The Canadian Association of Retired Persons is looking for 6-8 volunteers for Wednesday, May 9th from 9 – 4 at the Civic Centre arena.  Volunteers will be filling duties such as helping set up vendor displays, supervising reception services and maintaining supplies and services to exhibitors and attendees.  If you are interested in signing up please contact Student Services.

If you are pursuing a career in medicine or health care and live in Brant County or Brantford, ask your guidance counselor or Ms. Koolen about The Endowment Fund of the Kiwanis Club of Grand River.  You may qualify for one of our bursaries.  Deadline to apply is May 31st.

Are you seeking summer or part-time employment but don’t know where to look?  We can help, St. Leonard’s Community Services Brant Employment Center is hosting a Youth Job Fair on Saturday, April 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the German Hall, located at 194 Henry St. in Brantford.  The job fair is free and open to job seekers ages 15-29.  There will be lots of employers hiring for a variety of positions.  Bring copies of your resumes and be prepared for an on the spot interviews.  St. Leonard’s is also offering a Job Fair Prep Session on Wednesday, April 4th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 225 Fairview Drive.  Also this is a reminder to save the date for an Apprenticeship Information Session on April 17th.

Attention math contest writers.  The results are in.  If you wrote a math contest this year and would like to see your results, come see Mr. Todd in room 202 at lunch.

The following girls need to return their hockey jersey to Mrs. Elliott today, Rayna Grech, Shauna Hynes, Isabel Dunn, Mindy Norris and Alissa General.

Attention all junior and senior badminton team members, if you haven’t paid for your athletic fee please go to SchoolCashOnLine and get that completed.  Our game this week in on Thursday, that’s right, Thursday, March 29th against BCI.  Seniors are playing at SJC and juniors are travelling to BCI.  If you have any questions, please visit Mr. Yakymyshyn in room 265.

Attention varsity boys soccer team, there will be a practice tonight at 5 pm in the gym.  Please see Mr. Pomponio if you are unable to attend.

Students interested in the design and build STEM challenge that will take place tomorrow-Wednesday, please see Mrs. Koolen or Mrs. Todd or speak to your science teacher, today, if you are wanting to participate.

Are you needing to earn volunteer hours?  Rett4Ref is having a fundraiser on April 8th and needs 4 to 6 volunteers.  Please see Mrs. Koolen in room 172 or the volunteer board for more information.

Are you a girl in grade 11 or 12 and wondered what it would be like to play rugby?  It’s not too late to find out.  Come out to practice Thursday after school in the gym.  Permission forms can be found outside room 149.
