Attention students looking for community hours opportunities. The Paris Soccer Club is looking for volunteer coaches and assistant coaches. A notice is posted on the board outside of Student Services. Students can email the Paris Soccer Club at admin@parissoccer.ca.

Another opportunity for community hours. The St. George Soccer Club is looking for volunteer coaches. The St. George Soccer Club offers a free clinic for all coaches. A notice is posted on the board outside of Student Services. Students can email the St. George Soccer Club at admin@stgeorgesoccerclub.ca.

Also, the Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead National Historic Site is looking for volunteers for their Annual Easter at Addie’s event. The event takes place on Friday, April 15th from 10 am to 2 pm. Students can earn 4-6 community hours at the event. If interested, email the Homestead at info@adelaidehoodless.ca. Information is posted on the bulletin board outside of Student Services.

Attention Grade 12 female potential graduates. The Canadian Federation of University Women Brantford has a $1,000.00 scholarship for females who have achieved an average of 85% or higher based on 6 credits for entrance to post-secondary education programs. To qualify, you must have demonstrated involvement in and commitment to extracurricular activities or community volunteering and or employment. The final selection will be based on non-academic criteria as indicated on the application form. Please stop by Student Services to pick up a green application form. Applications are due in April.

English help in the library returns today, Thursday, after school. Come to the library starting at 3 pm for homework help with novel studies, essay development, editing tips and so on. Also, in the library after school, Laurier Stedman Writing contest information and writing feedback. Bring your questions and bring what you’ve been writing. Teachers and fellow writers will offer feedback and guidance so you can see your short story through to the finish line. If you can’t make it after school today but still have questions, be sure to email Mr. Heida.

Attention boys’ hockey team. Please return your jerseys to Mr. Lucente ASAP.

Senior Boys Rugby practices is this evening in the gym. Any grade 11 or 12 boy wanting to play rugby is welcome to tryout this week.

There will be an eco-club meeting today at lunch. Juniors in Rm 166 and Seniors in Rm 161. New members are always welcome.

This is a reminder that this week Boys Soccer tryouts are today-Thursday and tomorrow-Friday at 5 pm until 6:30 pm in the SJC Gym and have your waiver with you.
